I think every parent struggles with ruts. For the most part our routine stays very consistent. A little Sesame Street in the morning, reading and free play, park, nap and then more free play before dinner. But I have been trying to incorporate new and fresh activities, let's face it, we are all a little bored. The first step was getting out and about at least once a week. Thursdays are typically our Zoo/Legoland/Sea Life Aquarium/Etc days. Second, organized Arts and Crafts. Not just crayons and paper either, that skill she has mastered. So we are working on a Daddy's Birthday Card Project. Today was water colors. Ha, ha, Gavin was involved with this part of our day but was definitely more interested in splashing in the water meant to clean off your brush. But Madeline loved it. We will be painting more often from here on out.
